Zorin started as a simple idea: a music bot that is free for everyone, sounds great and stays out of your way. As the bot grew, our website stopped telling that story well. So we rebuilt it.
Today we are launching the new zorin.app, along with this blog, where we will share our progress, new features and everything else happening around the bot.
What changed
The new landing page puts the things you care about first. In a few seconds you can see how Zorin works, what the player looks like and how the economy system rewards your community.
- A cleaner home page that explains Zorin in three steps: invite, join a voice channel and play.
- Live examples of the now playing card, the profile card and the weekly chart.
- Light and dark themes that follow your system settings.
- A faster site, built on the latest version of Next.js.
Our goal was simple: anyone should understand what Zorin does without reading a single command.
New pages
Besides the new home page, we added a few pages that were missing:
| Page | What you will find |
|---|---|
| Commands | Every command, its arguments and a search to find them fast. |
| Team | The people who make Zorin possible. |
| Terms and Privacy | Rewritten in plain language, so you know exactly how we handle your data. |
Getting started is still one command away
Nothing changed in how you use the bot. Invite Zorin, join a voice channel and use /play with a song name or link. If you need help, /help lists everything Zorin can do.
What comes next
This is only the beginning. These are the things we are working on right now:
- The dashboard. Manage Zorin on your servers straight from the browser. It is marked as coming soon on the website and we will announce it here first.
- The weekly chart. A ranking of the most played songs on Zorin, updated every week.
- A public status page at status.zorin.app, so you always know if something is wrong.
Thank you
Zorin exists because of the communities that use it every day. If you have ideas, found a bug or just want to say hi, join our support server. We read everything.
See you in the next post.
